Girls Lacrosse: Evergreen, Valor Christian Win State Championships

AURORA - The Colorado High School Activities Association completed its 2025 Girls Lacrosse State Championship Tournaments at Peter Barton Stadium in Denver on Friday.

Evergreen started the afternoon with a 19-6 win over Green Mountain to earn the program's third girls lacrosse state title. In the nightcap, Valor Christian used the second half to pull away from ThunderRidge, en route to a 12-8 victory.

Colorado Academy, which has had a stronghold on the girls lacrosse state championships, had previously won the last nine-straight state titles (unclassified from 2015-19 and 5A from 2020-24). This marks the first year that Valor Christian, the 5A runner-up in 2021 and 2022, has secured the championship, while it's the second-straight year Evergreen has taken the trophy home.
