AURORA -- All eight of the 5A Baseball State Championship state qualifiers have been determined through regional play, as Grandview, Cherry Creek, Arvada West, Fossil Ridge, Broomfield, Regis Jesuit, Castle View, Rocky Mountain all won regional championships and will advance to state.

The 2025 5A Baseball State Championships will begin next weekend with games being played at All-City Park and All-Star Park in Denver. 

Region 1, the first round games were nailbiters, as No. 1 Grandview escaped No. 32 Poudre, 2-1, and No. 16 Pueblo West advanced over No. 17 Fruita Monument with a 3-2 victory. Grandview's bats got hot in the regional final though, as it knocked off No. 16 Pueblo West, 15-2, to secure the state bid. 

Region 2: No. 2 Cherry Creek blanked No. 31 Denver North, 8-0, in the first round, while No. 18 Riverdale Ridge upset No. 15 Northfield, 10-4. In the regional final, Cherry Creek defeated Riverdale Ridge, 11-1, to advance to state. 

Region 3: No. 3 Arvada West secured the bid to state with a 12-5 win over No. 30 Highlands Ranch, 12-5, and No. 19 Chaparral, 4-1, respectively. Chaparral used a 9-6 upset win over No. 14 Erie to advance to the regional final.

Region 4: No. 4 Fossil Ridge escaped No. 29 Ralston Valley, 6-5, in the first round before getting hot in regional final, knocking off No.13 Arapahoe, 9-0, to advance to state. Arapahoe advanced to the regional final by defeating No. 20 Chatfield, 8-2, in the first round.

Region 5: No. 5 Broomfield gave up just one run in its run to the state bracket, as it defeated No. 28 Fort Collins, 11-1, in the first round and then blanked No. 21 Cherokee Trail in the finals, 7-0. Cherokee Trail upset No. 12 Legacy, 2-0, in the first round to advance to the regional finals. 

Region 6: No. 6 Regis Jesuit clinched its spot in the state bracket by defeating No. 27 Brighton, 6-3, in the first round and then No. 11 Mountain Vista, 2-1, in the regional final. Mountain Vista advanced to the final by knocking No. 22 Fairview out of the first round, 5-4. 

Region 7: No. 10 Castle View stole the automatic bid to the state bracket by knocking off No. 7 Pine Creek, 15-1, in the regional final matchup. Pine Creek had opened regionals with an 11-7 win over No. 26 Douglas County, while Castle View cruised past No. 23 Eaglecrest, 13-2. 

Region 8: No. 8 Prairie View shutout No. 25 Rock Canyon in the first round, 5-0, but couldn't maintain its momentum, as No. 9 Rocky Mountain secured the bid to the state bracket from Region 8 with a 3-1 win over Prairie View. Rocky Mountain knocked off No. 24 Valor Christian, 3-2, in the first round.
