AURORA - The Colorado High School Activities Association will host its 2025 Spring Esports State Championships for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Unified Mario Kart on Thursday, April 24 at Localhost in Lakewood.
Play in the
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate tournament will begin at 9 a.m. with the Round of 16. The quarterfinals will begin at approximately 10:30 a.m., followed by the semifinals at noon and finals at 1:30 p.m.
The inaugural
Unified Mario Kart State Championship will be played between Rangeview and Smoky Hill at 10:30 a.m., with the
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe tournament beginning with the semifinal round around 2 p.m. The finals will start at approximately 5 p.m.
Trophy and award presentations for all three games will take place immediately after each of the respective finals.
Tickets are available on GoFan (all tickets are digital; no cash sales will be made on site). General admission is $10, while seniors (60+) and students (K-12) are $7 each. Children (5-and-under) are free of charge. Screenshots of tickets will not be accepted.
Free parking is available, and a food truck –
What Would Cheesus Do – will be on site for lunch, from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Kukulski Brothers will be on site for most of the day.
On overall esports state titles across all five games (League of Legends, Rocket League, Splatoon, Super Smash Bros. and Mario Kart), Cherry Creek, Grandview and Rocky Mountain have all won twice, while Cherokee Trail, Denver East, Mountain Vista, Pueblo West and Valor Christian have one win apiece. No team has won the same title more than once.
