AURORA -- The first round of the 4A State Football Playoffs took place Friday night, with eight matchups involving the teams seeded from No. 9 through No. 24.
Winners advanced to the second round, where they will play a top-eight seed that had a first-round bye.
The 4A state championship game will be played Saturday, Dec. 6, at 1:30 at Canvas Stadium in Fort Collins. It will be the second championship game of the day, following the 3A game at 10 a.m. and preceding the 5A game set for 5 p.m.
