Football: All Seven State Champions Awarded

PUEBLO - The 6-man and 8-man football state champions were determined Friday, Nov. 28, at CSU Pueblo's Thunderbowl, with Idalia winning the 6-man title for the first time since 2010 and Haxtun capturing the 8-man championship for a second-straight season. Limon kicked off the action on Saturday, Nov. 29 with its 23rd state title in the 1A championship, then Wellington cruised to the 2A crown.

The following Saturday, Dec. 6, at CSU's Canvas Stadium in Fort Collins, Pomona kicked off the three-game championship day with a last-second field goal to secure a win in 3A, while Dakota Ridge won its first state title in the 4A championship game, and Cherry Creek tied the most points scored in a single 5A championship game to capture its 15th overall state title.
