AURORA - At the Colorado High School Activities Association's 2A boys golf region 3 regional, Sterling (22-over 238) won the team championship, while Frontier Academy freshman Isaiah Fowler (2-over 74) claimed the individual championship.
The Tigers earned the team championship thanks, in part, to placing three golfers among the top-10 individuals, with second-place finishers Trey Colerickt and Ethan Thyne (6-over 78), and sixth-place finisher Dayton Diorio (10-over 82).
Frontier Academy (28-over 244) finished as the runner-up, and placed Kaden Turk inside the top 10 (12-over 84), along with Fowler.
Turk found himself in a four-way tie for tenth place with Brush's Ben Mettlen, Burlington's Hayden Fisher, and Yuma's Alexander Weathers.
Much like Sterling, Wray and Yuma also had multiple golfers finish inside the top 10.
Wray's Reegan Shay (9-over 81) finished in fifth place, while Corbin Sprague and Carson Rockwell (10-over 82) sixth place. Yuma had J.J. Ward and the aforementioned Alexander Weathers finish in ninth and tenth place, respectively.
CHSAA's 2024 2A Boys Golf State Championship will be played at The Club at Rollins Hills in Golden, on Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 7 and 8.
