AURORA - High school cross country teams around the state of Colorado will compete in regional championships Thursday and Friday, Oct. 24-25 for a chance to qualify for the 2024 Colorado High School Activities Association's Cross Country State Championships. Each classification will host five regionals with the top four teams and any individuals placing in the top-15 from each region advancing to the state championship.
The 2A regional championships will be hosted at Lyons Middle Senior High School in Lyons, Rocky Ford High School in Rocky Ford, Rio Grande Golf Club in South Fork and Confluence Park in Delta.
Regional championships for 3A will be at Fraser Valley Sports Complex in Fraser, North Monument Valley Park in Colorado Springs, Broomfield County Commons in Broomfield, Johnstown Reservoir in Johnstown and Kent Denver School in Cherry Hills Village.
For 4A, regional championships will be at North Area Athletic Complex in Arvada, North Monument Valley Park in Colorado Springs, Broomfield County Commons in Broomfield, Johnstown Reservoir in Johnstown and Elmwood Golf Course in Pueblo. Finally,
the 5A regional championships will be held at deKoevend Park in Centennial, Broomfield County Commons in Broomfield, Spring Canyon Park in Fort Collins and North Monument Valley Park in Colorado Springs.
