AURORA - The Colorado High School Activities Association will host its second-annual Women in Leadership Conference at the Evergreen Lake House on Wednesday, Sept. 4.

Registration for the event is limited and there are still a couple of spots left. Anyone interested in joining, should register now.
 
The event will kick off with breakfast and a welcome message before featuring a panel on Mental Health and Balance and another panel on Intimidation, Confidence and Empowerment. Following a short networking break and before the lunch and movement break, Karyn Ruth White will take the floor as the keynote speaker.
 
A motivational speaker, stand-up comedian and coach for over 25 years, Ruth White has a TEDx Talk titled, “She Who Laughs, Lasts.” Her company, Stand Up For Success, taps into the speaker’s decade of stand-up comedy experience as a way to provide a humorous, yet empowering, presentation to women ready to stand up for their success.
 
Ruth White prides herself on using laughter as a heart-centric approach to helping women present themselves with greater confidence, as they craft and deliver their messages and work to conquer their presentation anxieties in order to become more impactful and effective communicators.
 
The final panel of the day will be on Breaking into a Male World.
 
Following the closing and sharing of takeaways, attendees are invited to hang out an continue networking on the lake beginning at 2 p.m. Stand up paddleboards, kayaks and more will be available for rent at the Boat House.
