AURORA - The Colorado High School Activities Association has released the brackets for the Girls Lacrosse State Championships.
The 16-team 5A tournament and 24-team 4A tournament will both feature a single-elimination bracket. The first round will begin on Tuesday for 4A and Wednesday for 5A, and the 4A second round will follow on Thursday. Quarterfinals for 5A will be played on Friday, while the 4A quarterfinals will take place the next day, on Saturday.
The higher-seeded team will host every playoff match through the quarterfinals.
The final four teams from both classifications will advance to the semifinals site -- Englewood High School's Randy Penn Stadium. The 5A semifinals will be played on Tuesday, May 14 and the 4A semifinals will be played on Wednesday, May 15.
Lastly, the state tournament finals, for both classifications, will be played on Friday, May 17 at the University of Denver's Peter Barton Stadium.
