AURORA -- The Colorado High School Activities Association's 6A Girls Basketball Tournament heated up on Friday night, with all 16 remaining playoff teams playing their second-round game.

Winners will advance to the Great 8 at the Denver Coliseum. All Great 8 games will be played on Feb. 29.

Here are the results from Friday's second-round games:
 

• No. 1 Cherokee Trail vs. No. 16 Highlands Ranch: Cherokee Trail wins, 54-30 (will advance to play Mullen).
• No. 2 Cherry Creek vs. No. 15 Arapahoe: Cherry Creek wins, 44-28 (will advance to play Regis Jesuit).
• No. 3 Legend vs. No. 19 Doherty: Legend wins, 73-41 (winner will advance to play Horizon).
• No. 4 Valor Christian vs. No. 13 ThunderRidge: Valor Christian wins, 64-43 (will advance to play Rock Canyon).
• No. 5 Pine Creek vs. No. 12 Rock Canyon: Rock Canyon wins, 52-45 (will advance to play Valor Christian).
• No. 6 Horizon vs. No. 11 Ralston Valley: Horizon wins, 44-38 (winner will advance to play the winner of Legend).
• No. 7 Regis Jesuit vs. No. 23 Denver East: Regis Jesuit wins, 69-61 (will advance to play Cherry Creek).
• No. 8 Grandview vs. No. 9 Mullen: Mullen wins, 49-45 (will advance to play Cherokee Trail).
