AURORA - The second round of the Colorado High School Activities Association’s 2A Boys Soccer State Championships has been completed with two upsets coming throughout the round. 

The biggest upset was No. 11 Middle Park knocking off No. 6 Bishop Machebeuf, 3-2, while No. 9 Fountain Valley also upset No. 8 Dawson School, 3-2. 

In the other games, No. 1 Denver Christian got past No. 16 Loveland Classical, 5-0, No. 2 Forge Christian knocked off No. 15 Bruce Randolph, 6-1, and No. 3 Crested Butte beat No. 14 Telluride, 4-0. No. 4 Salida shut out No. 13 Gunnison, 3-0, while No. 5 Lotus School for Excellence snuck past No. 12 Liberty Common, 2-1, and No. 7 Jefferson moved on with a 2-1 win over No. 10 Vail Mountain. 

In the quarterfinal round, No. 1 Denver Christian will host No. 9 Fountain Valley, No. 2 Forge Christian will face No. 7 Jefferson, No. 3 Crested Butte will take on No. 11 Middle Park and No. 4 Salida will meet No. 5 Lotus School for Excellence. 

All quarterfinal round games will be played next Saturday, Nov. 9. The winners will advance to the semifinal round at UNC Greeley's Jackson Stadium on Tuesday, Nov. 12. The Championship Game will be played on Saturday. Nov. 16 at the Switchback's Weidner Field.
