AURORA - The 3A Boys Soccer State Championships first round has been completed. 

Of the 16 games, there were two upsets, with No. 17 Stargate School and No. 19 DSST: College View advancing. No. 1 Holy Family, No. 2 Jefferson Academy, No. 3 Peak to Peak, No. 4 Rifle, No. 5 Roaring Fork, No. 6 Colorado Academy, No. 7 Woodland Park, No. 8 Kent Denver, No. 9 Coal Ridge, No. 10 Timnath, No. 11 KIPP Denver Collegiate, No. 12 The Academy, No. 13 Aurora West College Prep and No. 15 Steamboat Springs also moved on to the second round. 

No. 1 Holy Family blanked No. 32 Weld Central, 8-0, and will move on to host No. 17 Stargate School, which upset No. 16 Arrupe Jesuit, 3-2, tonight. 

No. 2 Jefferson Academy and No. 15 Steamboat Springs both posted shutout victories, with Jefferson Academy knocking off No. 31 Pueblo Central, 5-0, and Steamboat Springs defeating No. 18 Denver West, 7-0. The two teams will next face in the second round. 

No. 3 Peak to Peak shutout No. 30 Lamar, 3-0, and will next face No. 19 DSST: College View, which upset No. 14 Manitou Springs, 3-1. 

No. 4 Rifle defeated No. 29 DSST: Conservatory Green, 3-1, to advance to the second round where it will face No. 13 Aurora West College Prep. AWCP shutout No. 20 Pagosa Springs, 1-0. 

No. 5 Roaring Fork and No. 12 The Academy will both advance to the second round after shutting out its opponent tonight. Roaring Fork got past No. 28 Rocky Mountain, while The Academy knocked off No. 21 Fort Lupton, 3-0. 

No. 6 Colorado Academy defeated No. 27 Berthoud, 3-0, and will face No. 11 KIPP Denver Collegiate, which shutout No. 22 The Classical Academy, 1-0, in the next round. 

No. 7 Woodland Park knocked off No. 26 Basalt, 3-1, to move to the second round, where it will face No. 10 Timnath. Timnath defeated No. 23 Prospect Ridge, 6-1, in the first round. 

No. 8 Kent Denver will face No. 9 Coal Ridge in the second round, as Kent Denver defeated No. 25 Delta, 5-2, and Coal Ridge knocked off No. 24 Bayfield, 7-1.
