AURORA - The first-ever flag football state tournament brackets are due to be seeded and released on Sunday by the CHSAA office.
A 20-team single-elimination brackets will be released for both classifications, 4A and 5A. Teams will be seeded using the CHSAA Seeding Index. The official rankings are updated hourly with the latest RPI data, and each Monday and Thursday with MaxPreps data. (Find answers to FAQs about the Seeding Index here.)
This weekend's games will bring the regular season to a close. A schedule of games and scores, is available on the Scoreboard and a list of where teams are currently ranked in each classification can be found on the CHSAA Seeding Index website.
The state tournament will then begin with first round games on Tuesday and Wednesday, Oct. 22-23, followed by Opening Weekend - both the second round and quarterfinal round games - on Saturday, Oct. 26. The semifinals and championship games will be the following weekend, on Saturday, Nov. 2.
