4A Football: Semifinal Playoff Results

AURORA – The semifinal round of the Colorado High School Activities Association’s 4A Football Playoffs for the 2023 State Championships has been completed. Live scores for next round can be found on MaxPreps and select games will be streamed on the NFHS network.

In the first of CHSAA’s 4A semifinals, No. 1 Palmer Ridge pulled away from No. 4 Broomfield, 38-14, thanks, in part, to a 14-0 third quarter that sealed the game away. Palmer Ridge will advance to the 4A State Championship Game, where they’ll pursue their first state title since their 2017-2019 three-peat.
Their opponent in the state championship will be No. 2 Erie. Erie defended home turf against No. 3 Montrose in a close 25-22 victory. Erie led 15-0 at the half and then survived a late surge from Montrose to advance. Erie is chasing their only football state championship outside of their 1997 1A title.
