Shauna GilmoreMs. Gilmore participated in student council, serving as representative, vice president of her class and co-secretary of the student body over three years. She was responsible for organizing GJHS's first Blood Donor's Day.
"I'm very excited and very honored to be included with such a distinguished class. I always felt that the activities I participated in made high school very rewarding. Participation really gave me a well-rounded education which I have utilized in college and now, in dentistry," Ms. Gilmore noted. "The rewards of participation were great, but to be inducted into the Hall of Fame is incredible."
As a basketball player, she was the starting forward for her sophomore and junior years. Suffering from shin splints as a senior, Ms. Gilmore chose to play tennis and won the district #2 singles title, earning a berth in the state tournament.
Ms. Gilmore earned a full-ride athletic scholarship to the University of Nebraska where she again excelled, earning All-America honors four times and winning 10 Big Eight championships.
