Esports: 2026 State Championship Information

AURORA - The Colorado High School Activities Association will host its 2026 Spring Esports State Championships on Thursday, April 30 at Localhost in Lakewood. Trophies will be awarded in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Mario Kart Deluxe 8 and Unified Mario Kart. 

Doors will open at 8 a.m. and the day will start with the Super Smash Bros. top-16 at 9 a.m. The first championship game will be the Special Olympics Unified Mario Kart final at 10 a.m., followed by the Super Smash Bros. quarterfinals at 10:30 a.m. The semifinals of Super Smash Bros. is set for noon, with the final at 1:30 p.m. In the meantime, the Mario Kart semifinals will also begin at noon, with one being played at noon and the other at 2 p.m. The finals are scheduled for 4 p.m. 

Championship Schedule (all times subject to change)
8 a.m. - Doors Open
9 a.m. - Super Smash Bros. Round of 16
10 a.m. - Special Olympics Unified Mario Kart Final
10:30 a.m. - Super Smash Bros. Quarterfinals
Noon - Super Smash Bros. and Mario Kart Semifinal
1:30 p.m. - Super Smash Bros. Final
2 p.m. - Mario Kart Semifinal
4 p.m. - Mario Kart Final

There will be no cash sales on site, all tickets must be purchased in advance through GoFan. Tickets are good for all-day admission. 

On-site parking is free. All large vehicles are asked to park in the far west area of the parking lot. 

A food truck - What Would Cheesus Do? - will be on site, as well as the Kukulski Brothers selling championship merchandise.
