AURORA - CHSAA Commissioner Mike Krueger announced on the April edition of Coffee with the Commish that Teale Hemphill is the April winner of the Brewed for Impact with Circle K award.
Hemphill is the Board President of the McClave School District. She also serves as the Colorado Association of School Boards (CASB) voting member of CHSAA's Legislative Council, representing Regions 2 and 3.
"Teale Hemphill exemplifies what it means to lead with purpose and impact," CHSAA Commissioner Mike Krueger said. "Through her work with the Colorado Association of School Boards, her leadership as Board President in McClave, and her role on the CHSAA Legislative Council, she has consistently demonstrated a commitment to strengthening connections and understanding across our state. Teale has been instrumental in helping school board members better understand CHSAA's policies, processes, and the role we play in supporting students through educationally based athletics and activities. Her leadership sets a standard of excellence and reflects a genuine dedication to serving students, schools, and communities. Teale's efforts have made a meaningful difference, and her influence continues to elevate the work we do across Colorado. I am personally grateful for her partnership, her voice, and her leadership. We are proud to recognize her as this month's Brewed for Impact Award recipient and congratulate her on this well-deserved honor."
New for the 2025-26 school year and in partnership with Circle K, CHSAA is recognizing school administrators with a Brewed for Impact Award. This award honors those who lead with purpose, consistency and heart - pouring into others while championing educationally based athletics and activities. This monthly recognition is part of Coffee with the Commish and recognizes leadership that goes beyond wins and losses and focuses on building stronger schools and stronger communities through the values of educationally based programs.
Each month, one award winner will receive a certificate from CHSAA Commissioner Mike Krueger and a coffee mug from Circle K for embodying the mission of CHSAA and making a meaningful difference in their schools and communities.
The first award winner was announced on September 24, 2025. The next winner will be announced on May 20 at Coffee with the Commish.
