AURORA - CHSAA Commissioner Mike Krueger announced on the January edition of Coffee with the Commish that Colleen Ford is the January winner of the Brewed for Impact with Circle K award.

Ford is the Assistant Principal/Athletic Director at Lyons Middle Senior High School.

“Colleen embodies the very best of educationally based athletics and activities," shared CHSAA Commissioner Mike Krueger. "Her passion for student opportunity is evident in everything she does, and she consistently creates an environment where students are supported, challenged, and encouraged to grow as people. She is respected statewide for her leadership, her positive attitude, and the standard of excellence she sets for Lyons High School. Colleen is making a real difference in the lives of students and in the Lyons community, and her impact is also being felt throughout the CHSAA membership. It is a privilege to recognize her as our January Brewed for Impact Award winner, a recognition that is incredibly well deserved."

New for the 2025-26 school year and in partnership with Circle K, CHSAA is recognizing school administrators with a Brewed for Impact Award. This award honors those who lead with purpose, consistency and heart - pouring into others while championing educationally based athletics and activities. This monthly recognition is part of Coffee with the Commish and recognizes leadership that goes beyond wins and losses and focuses on building stronger schools and stronger communities through the values of educationally based programs.

Each month, one award winner will receive a certificate from CHSAA Commissioner Mike Krueger and a coffee mug from Circle K for embodying the mission of CHSAA and making a meaningful difference in their schools and communities.

The first award winner was announced on September 24, 2025. The next winner will be announced on Feb. 18 at Coffee with the Commish.
