Grandview's Sienna Betts Named Gatorade Girls Basketball Player of the Year for Colorado

Grandview's Sienna Betts was named Colorado's Gatorade Player of the Year in girls basketball for the 2023-24 season on Thursday.

This is the second consecutive year that Betts, a 6-foot-4 junior forward, has won the award. Betts averaged 22.5 points, 15.6 rebounds, 4.6 assists, 3.3 blocks and 2.2 steals this past season as she helped Grandview reach the Class 6A Sweet 16.

Betts, who carries a 4.33 weighted GPA, is committed to play college basketball at UCLA.

This is the 13th time an athlete from Grandview has won a Gatorade Player of the Year award, including the seventh in girls basketball.

Two of those girls basketball awards were won by Lauren Betts, Sienna's sister, who won the award the two previous seasons prior to Sienna, in 2020-21 and 2021-22.
