The Colorado High School Activities Association’s 2024 Nordic Skiing State Championships will run Feb. 22-23 at the YMCA of the Rockies Snow Mountain Ranch Nordic Center, in Granby.

What time will the competition start?

• Thursday
  • Girls individual start skate will begin at 1 p.m.
  • Boys individual start skate will begin at 1:45 p.m.
• Friday
  • Girls chevron start classic will begin at 11 a.m.
  • Boys chevron start classic will begin at noon.

 

What time will the venue open?

• The YMCA of the Rockies Snow Mountain Ranch Nordic Center will open to the public at 8:30 a.m.

 

Do I need to buy a ticket to specate?

• No, tickets will not be required to spectate.

 

Where can I park?

• Parking staff will direct you upon arrival. Parking is on a first-come, first-served basis in Nordic Center parking lot. Overflow parking available in ballfield lot and clinic lot approximately 0.25 miles east of Nordic Center.  No parking on road into Nordic Center

 

How will I know when a certain team is competing?

• Start lists are available here. 

 

Where does the race start?

• Races start/finish near Schlessman Family Camper Hub building.

Where can I find results?

• Live results will be available on Kandu Timing. 

 

Where can I find past champions or team winners/Is there a championship archive?

• The digital program includes information on past champions, winners and more! Past champions can also be found in the championship archives for boys skiing and girls skiing.

 

Will there be a trophy presentation?

• The top five skiers among boys and the top five among girls, in each of the two disciplines, will be awarded a medal from CHSAA. The boys and girls ski teams that finish first and second overall (combining scores from all four ski disciplines, nordic and alpine) will be awarded a trophy at the end of the event.

Will there be food and/or merchandise available to purchase on-site?

• Souvenir items (t-shirts, sweatshirts, pins, shorts, etc.) will be available for purchase on-site through the Kukulski Brothers. For pre-sale items, call (602-386-3460) or email the Kukulski Brothers.
• Soup/chili, sandwiches, breakfast items, snacks and drinks will be available for purchase in the Skinny Ski Cafe upstairs in the Nordic Center.
