Gymnastics regionals begin next week. Teams were ranked based on the average of their top three team scores from the regular season and were then placed into one of three regionals, held at Overland, Mountain Range and Arvada West
The Overland regional is Oct. 28, the Mountain Range regional is Oct. 29, and Arvada West is Oct. 30.
The criteria used to rank teams and determine regional placement is below the schedule.

3:20-3:40 p.m – Open Gym
3:40-3:48 p.m. – Warm-up #1
3:15 p.m. – Judges Meeting
3:50 p.m. – Opening ceremonies: Introduction of teams, presentation of colors.

4A TEAM QUALIFYING
Nine (9) teams will qualify to compete at the state championships. The top team score in each regional plus the next six (6) best team scores regardless of regional shall qualify for state.
4A INDIVIDUAL QUALIFYING
The top three (3) individuals in each event from each regional, not on a state qualifying team plus the top nine (9) individuals on each event regardless of regional (not on a state qualifying team) will qualify for the state tournament (3 groups of 6 individuals – 18 total).
5A TEAM QUALIFYING
Ten (10) teams will qualify to compete at the state championships. The top team score in each regional plus the next seven (7) best team scores regardless of regional shall qualify for state.
5A INDIVIDUAL QUALIFYING
The top two (2) individuals on each event from each regional, not on a state qualifying team plus the top six (6) individuals on each event regardless of regional (not on a state qualifying team) will qualify for the state tournament (2 groups of 6 Individuals per event – 12 total).
