Colette Stone joined the Colorado High School Activities Association as a Coordinator of Sports in August 2023. Stone works with Assistant Commissioner Justin Saylor on field hockey, ice hockey, lacrosse and soccer.
A graduate of Schuylerville High School in New York, Stone interned with the New York State Public High School Athletic Association during the spring 2023 semester. While with NYSPHSAA, she assisted the operation of 13 state championship tournaments, wrote three featured articles for the website section, Overtime Sports, and utilized social media to promote tournaments. Through her work, she increased the association’s Instagram following by over 3,000 followers, developed fan engagement strategies and proposed student resource programs.
In addition, Stone has served as a sport coordinator with i9 Sports in Clermont, Florida, where she monitored and facilitated game day and practice operations for youth baseball, basketball, volleyball and soccer. She established relationships between players, parents and coaches, and performed marketing functions to attract new clients.
She also has experience working as a volunteer assistant coach with Saratoga Springs Little League.
Stone came to Colorado from Florida where she received her bachelor’s degree in sports management from the University of Florida in May.
