6A Boys Basketball: Sweet 16 Update

AURORA - The Sweet 16 of the Colorado High School Activities Association's 6A Boys Basketball State Championship was played Tuesday night.

In the lone upset, Noah Sevy of No. 13 Grandview scored the game's final seven points in the final minute as the Wolves overcame a 58-55 deficit to defeat No. 4 Arvada West 62-58. 

Three other games Tuesday were 12-point decisions, as No. 5 Rock Canyon defeated No. 21 Liberty 69-57, No. 6 Cherry Creek topped No. 11 Fossil Ridge 63-51, and No. 7 George Washington held off No. 10 Horizon 76-64.

The tournament now shifts to the Denver Coliseum for quarterfinals on Friday, semifinals on Thursday, March 12 and the championship game on Saturday, March 14.
