AURORA - The Colorado High School Activities Association has released its preseason coaches' poll for girls lacrosse.
Defending champions Valor Christian (5A) and Evergreen (4A) have been named the preseason No. 1 in their respective classes.
This is the only coaches' poll that will be conducted by CHSAA for girls lacrosse this season. Throughout the season, CHSAA will publicize the Seedings Index as a weekly ranking for girls lacrosse. Those rankings will start once there are enough games played to populate a ranking (approximately week 3 or 4).
The girls lacrosse regular season starts starts March 5 and runs through May 2. Postseason play starts May 5 for 4A and May 6 for 5A. The semifinals are May 12 (5A) and May 13 (4A) at Englewood High School, while the finals will be May 15 at the University of Denver's Peter Barton Stadium.
