Girls Tennis: Preseason Coaches Poll Announced

AURORA -- The Colorado High School Activities Association has released its preseason coaches' polls for girls tennis.

Defending 4A state champion Cheyenne Mountain has been picked No. 1 in that preseason poll, while defending 5A state champion Ralston Valley shares the No. 1 ranking with Cherry Creek in 5A. In 3A, the preseason No. 1 is Vail Christian in 3A -- last year's state champions was Peak to Peak.

The preseason coaches' poll is the only poll that will be conducted by CHSAA for girls tennis.

The girls tennis season starts Thursday. Postseason play culminates with the individual state championships from May 7 through 9 and and the dual team state championship on May 12.
