2A Basketball: State Championships Head to CSU's Moby Arena in March

AURORA - The Colorado High School Activities Association’s Board of Directors voted on Wednesday at its November meeting to approve Colorado State University in Fort Collins as the site for the 2A boys and girls basketball state championships beginning in March 2026.

The three-day tournament will be played at Moby Arena, beginning with four boys and four girls games on Thursday and Friday, March 12-13. The consolation finals, third place games and championship matches will be played on Saturday, March 14.

“We are excited for our 2A basketball state championships to be showcased at Moby Arena,” said CHSAA Associate Commissioner Bethany Brookens, who oversees basketball at the state level. “CSU, Visit Fort Collins, and Canvas have already been tremendous partners, and they are eager to open their doors and welcome our exceptional student-athletes back to their campus and community. We look forward to continuing to grow each of these partnerships by creating memorable experiences for our players, coaches and fans.”

CHSAA has previously partnered with Colorado State University, Visit Fort Collins and Canvas Credit Union to bring the 3A, 4A and 5A Football State Championship games to Fort Collins. The 2025 championships will be held on Saturday, Dec. 6 CSU's Canvas Stadium.
