AURORA - The first round of the CHSAA Field Hockey State Championship was completed Tuesday, as the remaining five first-round games were played. The tournament had opened with three games on Monday, and now all eight quarterfinalists have been determined.
 

While first-round winners remain in championship contention, first-round losers will compete in a consolation bracket. Quarterfinals for both the championship and consolation brackets are scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 30 through Saturday, Nov. 1.

The championship semifinals are Monday, Nov. 3, with the consolation semifinals on Tuesday, Nov. 4. The state championship, as well as the consolation bracket championship, are Wednesday, Nov. 5.
 

The semifinals and championship games for both brackets will be hosted at DPS All-City Stadium.
