AURORA - The field hockey state tournament bracket is due to be seeded and released on Friday, Oct. 24 by the CHSAA office.

Teams will be seeded onto the 16-team postseason bracket using the CHSAA Seeding Index. The official rankings are updated hourly with the latest RPI data, and each Monday and Thursday with MaxPreps data. (Find answers to FAQs about the Seeding Index here.)

This week's games will bring the regular season to a close. A schedule of games and scores, is available on the Scoreboard and a list of where teams are currently ranked in each classification can be found on the CHSAA Seeding Index website.

The state tournament will begin with first round games on Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 27-28. The winners of those games will advance to the single-elimination championship bracket, while the losers will advance to the single-elimination consolation bracket. Quarterfinal round games in both brackets will be played on Thursday, Oct. 30 through Saturday, Nov. 1, followed by the championship semifinals on Monday, Nov. 3, the consolation semifinals on Tuesday, Nov. 4 and both championship games on Wednesday, Nov. 5.
