Baseball: 2024 State Champions Crowned

AURORA - All five of the Colorado High School Activities Association's baseball state champions have been crowned.

Merino captured its second 1A baseball state championship in program history, with the Rams' other state title coming in 2022. In 2A, Denver Christian won its second-straight championship, while Eaton captured its fourth-straight in 3A. Holy Family won its first 4A championship after winning three in 3A, its last in 2014, and in 5A, Cherry Creek played its way through the consolation bracket to the if needed Championship Game, sending legendary - and retiring - head coach Marc Johnson out with his ninth state title.

Prior to the start of the championship games, Zeke and Zane threw out the first pitch at All-Star Park in Lakewood.
