Four Teams Remain Heading Into Final Day of Boys Volleyball State Championships

The second day of the Colorado High School Activities Association 2024 Boys Volleyball State Championships has officially concluded, leaving four teams left competing for its first State Championship. 

To begin the action, No. 1 Mountain Vista took down No. 4 Littleton Public Schools 3-2 (25-23, 22-25, 22-25, 25-19, 15-19). 

Mountain Vista will move on to play No. 6 Fountain-Fort Carson High School at 11 a.m. tomorrow.

Fountain-Fort Carson took down No. 2 Thornton High School 3-1 (25-23, 21-25, 26-24, 25-21) to keep its Cinderella run alive. 

In the consolation bracket, No. 5 Grandview continued its great run, sweeping Thornton (25-16, 25-22, 25-22). Grandview has yet to lose a set in the consolation bracket. 

LPS on the other hand narrowly beat Eaglecrest High School 3-2 (20-25, 25-15, 16-25, 25-17, 15-19). 

LPS and Grandview will play at 11 a.m. tomorrow, where the winner will go on to play the loser of the Mountain Vista and Fountain-Fort Carson game. 

The finale will conclude at 4 p.m. tomorrow in one best-of-five set match between the winner of the consolation bracket and the winner of the main bracket.
