AURORA - The Colorado High School Activities Association has announced the round of 32 brackets for the 3A, 4A and 5A Softball State Championships.

Eaton earned the No. 1 seed in the 3A bracket, after posting a regular season record of 22-1, Holy Family secured the No. 1 seed in the 4A bracket, as they went 22-1 record in the regular season, and Arvada West earned the No. 1 seed in the 5A bracket, thanks to their 19-3 record. Round of 32 games will be played on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 13-14, with State Championships scheduled for Friday and Saturday, Oct. 20-21. 

The 4A games at Site 5, Discovery Canyon, have been delayed due to cold temperatures. They will now be at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Teams qualified for the postseason through their regular season performance. Each league champion automatically qualified for the state tournament, and the other spots were determined by the CHSAA Selection & Seeding Index, with the consideration that two teams within the same league couldn't match up in the first round.

Boulder earned the No. 32 seed in the 4A bracket after winning the 4A/3A Colorado league, while Niwot and Mesa Ridge swapped the 17th and 18th seeds to avoid a first-round league matchup. In the 5A bracket, Ponderosa and Grand Junction swapped the 21st and 22nd seeds, while Arapahoe and Fort Collins swapped the 24th and 25th seeds, in order to avoid a first-round league matchup.
