2021 CHSAA Unified Bowling State Championships Information

The unified bowling state championships will take place on Friday, Nov. 19, at AMF Belleview Lanes in Englewood. The 2021 season’s culminating event will be the second of its kind for unified bowling in Colorado.
 
In April, defending champion Pueblo East won unified bowling’s first championship as a CHSAA-sanctioned sport.

Playing rules and tournament format
The unified bowling state championships will follow an open format for tournament play. The top two team scores (based on total pinfall) will determine the state champion and runner-up. The CHSAA has one competitive interscholastic division for unified bowling. 
 
Official rules and regulations for all Unified sports and activities shall be those posted in the CHSAA bulletin in collaboration with Special Olympics – Colorado and the United States Bowling Congress (USBC).

Teams will consist of up to five players, three competing and two substitutions. 
 
The three students competing should be comprised with at least two students (athletes) with an intellectual disability (see “Eligibility” below) and 1 non-intellectually disabled student (partner). Coaches may play an additional student with an intellectual disability as a partner.  

Unified Sports teams must be comprised of boys and girls making it coed. A student with a physical disability may participate as a partner.
