John Mraule
Montrose
John Mraule is a sports icon in Montrose. After starting the girls basketball program at MHS in 1974-75, he coached the team until 1991 and again from 1999-2003. He also served as student council advisor and had stints as an assistant coach in boys’ basketball, football and track and field. His girls’ basketball teams were 323-98 with 11 league titles, 10 district titles, 4 regional championships and 13 trips to the state tournament.
