Jeffrey C. Carter
Lincoln
When Lincoln High School’s Jeff Carter set the Colorado high school diving record with 546.85 points in 1979, few could have imagined that the record would hold through the rest of the century. But it has. Carter’s mark is still the state standard and he won three diving titles during his high school career. He continued with a stellar career at the University of Hawaii and set numerous league marks there. He was severely burned in a helicopter accident and has survived over 100 surgeries to repair the damage. He is noted for exceptional character, leadership and citizenship
