The only Colorado gymnast to receive a perfect " 10" rating in state competition, Carol Ulrich was one of the nation's most gifted athletes during her high school career. In all, she scored five "10s" during her senior season, culminating with the “l0” in floor exercise at state in 1988. She was the state's all-around champion as a freshman in 1985, winning three events. In 1988, she won each individual event and the all-around title in leading her team to the state championship
