A truly legendary athlete, Glenn Morris was a 16-time letter winner in baseball, football, basketball and track & field for Simla High School from 1925-30. In 1930, Morris single-handedly took second place at the state track meet, scoring 30 points. In 1936, he won the gold medal in the decathlon at the Berlin Olympics, breaking the Olympic record. He won the prestigious Sullivan Award in 1937 as the nation' s top amateur athlete and The Denver Post named him to its list of Colorado’s Ten Best Athletes
