A former coach and administrator in Jefferson County Schools, Mel Schwartz helped the district’s athletic programs to the current level of excellence they now enjoy. He was an active participant in the CHSAA, serving on the Executive Committee and Board of Control, along with serving as an active member of the Colorado Athletic Directors Association
