Christine Bullard
Jefferson County Schools
Christine Bullard was Girls’ Athletics Director and one of the state’s top field hockey coaches at Kent Denver School before moving into an administrative position with Kent Denver School and Jefferson County Public Schools.
Bullard had a 94-11-13 mark in field hockey and her teams had a 26-game shutout streak and a 71-game unbeaten streak (67-0-4) under her tutelage.
She served six years as a member of the CHSAA Board of Directors (nee Executive Committee), served seven years on the CHSAA Legislative Council (nee Board of Control), chaired the field hockey committee, as well as served on the Budget, Tournament & Playoff Finance and Soccer Committees.
Bullard was also a member of numerous seeding and pairing committees, along with serving as host to multiple CHSAA State Track & Field Championships. In addition, she was host for district and regional tournaments in volleyball, gymnastics, softball, wrestling, baseball, cross country, golf, soccer, tennis, basketball and lacrosse, as well.
Bullard was the Curriculum Coordinator for Athletics from 1990-1992 and then head of Jefferson County athletics and activities from 1993 to 2006. From 1975 to 1990, she was a member of the Kent Denver staff, coaching field hockey, basketball, lacrosse and assisting in tennis and track.
She was Kent Denver’s Girls’ Athletics Director from 1975-1990 and assistant Director for Admissions from 1984-1990.
She has served in numerous leadership roles, including president of the Colorado Athletic Directors Association 1989-90, 2004-05) and was awarded the Kurby Lyle Award for service in 2000.
Bullard is a member of the Sportswomen of Colorado Hall of Fame (2010), Jefferson County Hall of Fame (2009) and the Metropolitan League Hall of Fame (1986).
