Matt Hemingway
Buena Vista
A three-sport athlete for Buena Vista, Hemingway made his mark at the state level in track and field, posting the state’s best high jump mark at 7-4 that stands today. He won the silver medal at the 2004 Olympics Games in Athens in the high jump and is one of only a handful of jumpers in the United States to clear 7-9.75. He also played basketball for the Demons.
