One of the state’s top student athletes, Daryl Monasmith was an outstanding performer in football, wrestling and track. A three-time state wrestling champion, Monasmith posted 55 straight wins in high school before finishing his career with a 82-10-1 record. A three-year letterman in football, Monasmith was chosen his team’s MVP in 1974 by his teammates and he was elected to play in the All-State Game. He posted 174 tackles and had five interceptions as a senior, earning all-conference honors. Monasmith was a two-time All-American at Oklahoma State Univeristy, has officiated for the Colorado Wrestling Officials Association and has worked the state championship meet.
