After five years away from the program, Dave Huss is looking to get Caliche girls basketball back to its winning ways.
The man who coached the Buffs for 16 seasons is returning to once again lead the team. The school announced the re-hiring of Huss on May 16.
As noted by the Journal-Advocate, in his 16 years as the Caliche girls basketball coach, he complied a 278-131 record with the team. He also took the Buffs to the Class 1A state championship game in 2014 where they lost to Norwood 38-34.
They advanced to regionals the following the year, Huss' last with the program. Since then, they have not advanced beyond districts.
Caliche will bring back four seniors from last year's team and just graduated one senior from the 2019-20 team.
