The postseason for fall sports is in full swing as softball begins regional play this week. Brackets were released on Monday and were primarily seeded based on where teams finished in the RPI standings.

Rock Canyon, Golden and University are the top seeds in their respective classes.

Games are all scheduled to be played on Oct. 19 with each region qualifying two teams for next week's state tournament.

The full regional brackets are available here:

Rock Canyon enters the postseason with a 22-1 record and went undefeated in Continental League play. The Jaguars host Denver South, Lakewood and Mountain Vista in their region.

Smoky Hill, Rocky Mountain, Loveland, Grand Junction Central, Broomfield, Chatfield and Columbine will also serve as hosts this week.

Defending 5A champion Legend is the No. 18 seed.

Golden's lone two losses on the year came in Jeffco League play, and that included an 8-6 loss to D'Evelyn to end the regular season. The Demons will host Falcon, Northridge and Mesa Ridge as they come into the postseason as the top team in 4A.

D'Evelyn, Wheat Ridge, Pueblo County, Pueblo South, Silver Creek, Pueblo Central and defending champion Holy Family also host 4A regions.

In 3A, University is looking to stake its claim as the top dog in the class. The Bulldogs are 21-2 with both losses coming at the hands of Brush. They'll host La Junta and Platte Valley when play begins on Saturday.

Other host teams in 3A are Basalt, Brush, Strasburg, Riverdale Ridge, Eaton, Sterling and Limon.

Defending champion Strasburg is the No. 4 seed.
