Eads' ground attack was certainly working on Friday night.

The Eagles rushed for 11 touchdowns in a 6-man win over Manzanola, 78-48. That figure is the third-most in state history, trailing only Briggsdale's 14 in 2016 and 12 from Hugo in 1930.

Junior Damien Barnes was spectacular, rushing for 368 yards and seven touchdowns on 27 carries. He averaged 13.6 yards per carry.

Senior Angel Medina also had quite the night, rushing for 131 yards and four touchdowns on nine carries. He averaged 14.6 yards per carry.

Eads also rushed for eight touchdowns in their season-opening win against Genoa-Hugo last week. Barnes had six scores in that game, making him the current state leader with 13 rushing touchdowns.

Eads is averaging 69.5 points per game so far this season.
