STERLING — Kaeden Sheets sparked Class 3A No. 3 Sterling at the plate while Daniel Thiessen was more than efficient in five innings on the mound.

The Tigers beat No. 9 Brush 5-0 on Thursday to improve to 17-2 overall and 7-1 in Patriot League play.

Dylan Diorio went 2-for-2 on the day and added an RBI of his own. The offensive production helped compliment the the pitching performance by Thiessen who struck out six and allowed just two hits in his five innings.

It was Bryson Wooldrige and Nicholas Wellen who got the hits off Thiessen, but the Brush offense couldn't generate any runs from it.
