Top-ranked Mountain Vista baseball beat No. 10 Legend 12-2 on Monday, notching their 10th straight win.

Sam Ireland, Clay Burke and Matt Klein each had three RBIs, and Drew Stahl and John Zakhem each homered for the Golden Eagles in the win. Klein had two-RBI double to right-center field which invoked the run rule in the bottom of the sixth.

Mountain Vista built a 6-0 lead after two innings on Monday, and led 8-2 after three.

Burke also pitched four innings in the win, allowing two runs on four hits. He struck out five. Nick Englhard pitched two perfect innings in relief.

Mountain Vista, the defending Class 5A champion, is now 14-2 this season, including a perfect 12-0 in Colorado. They host Rock Canyon on Wednesday.

Legend (8-7) hosts Ponderosa this Wednesday.
