Green Mountain boys lacrosse won an epic top-5 matchup against Golden on Friday.

The Rams, ranked No. 5, outlasted No. 4 Golden, 9-8, after three overtimes.

Senior Karson Bell led Green Mountain with four goals. Trey Corkin and Tanner Wagner each scored twice, and Gavin Forrest also scored for the Rams.

Goalie Ryan Burdi made 20 saves.

Green Mountain led most of the way — it was 3-2 after the first quarter and 5-2 at halftime.

But Golden started a rally in the third quarter, cutting it to 7-5 after the frame, and then they outscored Green Mountain 3-1 in the fourth to send it to overtime.

Neither team scored in first or second overtime, before Green Mountain won it in the third.

The Rams are now 8-1 this season, and have won five games in a row.
