On-going FBI investigation results in cancellation of some activities and athletics

Denver metro-area school districts, acting on a recommendation from the Colorado Department of Education, have closed schools on Wednesday in response to the on-going FBI investigation into credible threats made against schools this week.

Additionally, a number of Denver metro private schools have also cancelled classes, as well as a number of districts in the northern part of the state.

A complete list of closures is available here.

With schools closed, most of the metro-area districts and metro-area private schools, as well as the districts up north, have also cancelled athletics and activities on Wednesday. This includes CHSAA's Large Group Music Festival scheduled to be held at Silver Creek High School.

As is the case with games, meets and matches that are cancelled due to inclement weather, makeup dates and plans are made by local schools.
