Boulder has hired Riley Grabau as its boys basketball coach, athletic director Eddie Hartnett announced on Tuesday.
Grabau was the team's interim head coach during the 2018-19 season, leading them to a 13-12 record and an appearance in the Class 5A state tournament, where they advanced to the second round.
"We look forward to seeing the program continue to grow under Coach Grabau's leadership," Hartnett said.
Grabau is a 2011 graduate of the school, is one of the best athletes in school history, and led the Panthers to the 5A title game in 2011. After graduating, he played college basketball at Wyoming.
Grabau took over as interim coach just prior to the season last November. He had been an assistant.
"He is one of the best athletes Boulder has produced in recent history," Hartnett said. "It will be exciting to see him develop as a head coach."
