Big third quarter lifts No. 7 Steamboat Springs boys lacrosse over No. 10 Battle Mountain

A five-goal third quarter proved to be the difference for Class 4A No. 7 Steamboat Springs in its 9-4 win over No. 10 Battle Mountain.

The win Sailors for the Sailors (9-3 overall) extended their currenting winning streak to four games. Jacob Gilbertson has been the constant offensive force, scoring 32 goals on the year heading into Monday's game.

For the Huskies (4-6), this is the second loss of the season to Steamboat. With four games remaining on their schedule, they'll look to get on a winning streak of their own and gain some momentum before the 4A playoffs begin.
