Lewis-Palmer has a new head coach for the boys lacrosse team. The school announced in an email Thursday night that Drew Stevenson will replace Dan Mullins starting with the 2019 season.

Stevenson joined the Rangers coaching staff in 2017 after two stops as a collegiate head coach. He was at Robert Morris University from 2012-14 and Concorida from 2014-16.

The Rangers went 9-7 in 2018, including a loss to Chaparral in the first round of the Class 5A state boys lacrosse tournament.

"Our team will reload with a young group of players expected to contribute right away and we'll see whom will step up and surprise us," the school said in an email release. "Most importantly the coaching staff will be focusing on first, making sure we're in shape to compete at such a high level and secondly, implementing minor changes to our systems that best fit our players' skill set."

Stevenson and the Rangers will kick off the season on Feb. 25, 2019 with the official start of the spring athletic season.
